HELLO
With more than 25 years of experience in public relations and communications, Rebecca Whalen has advised nationally recognized brands on how to build meaningful connections with their audiences. As founder of The Local Edit, she now helps organizations connect with Colorado through thoughtfully curated products, experiences, and local partnerships that reflect the character and creativity of the state.
Rebecca's passion for supporting local businesses was deepened by her family's experience losing their home in the Marshall Fire. In the aftermath, she experienced firsthand how Colorado's communities, and especially its local businesses, showed up with generosity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping their neighbors. That experience reinforced her belief that every purchase and partnership has the power to strengthen communities and create meaningful impact.
The Local Edit is an extension of that philosophy: connecting organizations with the people, makers, and businesses that make Colorado extraordinary while creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Rebecca lives in Colorado with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Wish. She spends her free time exploring the state, visiting farmers markets, discovering local businesses, and taking road trips with her family.
